Camouflage Failure
There are a bunch of black squirrels in Princeton that were apparently imported from Canada a long time ago for a Genetics experiment at the University. It might just be a rumor, but I've heard that there used to be white squirrels as well, but because of a recessive gene, they died out. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Fly Tongue

So there was this slow fly that was flying around my living room. I managed to catch it before the cats did. I put a drop of honey on some paper, and waited for him to get stuck in it while I put the macro lens on.

Once he freed himself from the honey, the cats had a field day. R.I.P. Fly...

I lead such an exciting life, don't I?

Here's some other shots.

I went to the beach today, and the ocean was loaded with these Jellyfish. Some of the kids were throwing them at each other, while I was just swimming through them. At first it's really gross, but it wasn't long before I was used to it. I caught a few, just to take pictures of back at my towel. I wasn't brave enough to take my camera down to the water. I think this shot may have been more interesting if I put the jellyfish on the sand instead of my towel.

Anyone know what kind of spider this is? This guy has been hanging around my front door for over a week now. He usually runs and hides behind some molding as soon as I get near, but this time I think he was sleeping, so I managed to get a shot of him.

I wish I was able to get more of the web to appear in the shot, but it just wasn't the right conditions. I've heard of spraying hair spray on the web to get them to be seen, but I thought would be a bad thing to do to a fully functional web. (and I didn't have any hair spray...)
