Matt Pilsner > April 11, 2009 My gin and tonic is broken... My friend Lindsay came over for some schnitzel tonight. I was drinking a couple of gin and tonics, and she held my flashlight under the empty glass for some cool lighting while I took a shot of the ice.
Matt Pilsner > April 1, 2009 I feel like I should be posting an April Fool's joke today, but I was never one to take part in the prankster festivities. This is a shot of the table setting from Kelsey's birthday dinner last night. It was delicious. Fillet Mignon, Asparagus, Mushrooms, and cheese filled tortellini, with a couple of tasty bottles of wine. This shot was taken with the 50mm f/1.4 again. Unfortunately it was ISO 800, but imagine how smooth it would be in a lower ISO. I think I love this lens. (Sorry Jamie, you're not getting it back)
Matt Pilsner > March 28, 2009 The Watering Hole I had the camera during my dinner break yesterday, so I took a shot of the bar. This was a 5 sec exposure, so I'm surprised that Mike (the bartender) is in focus.
Matt Pilsner > March 12, 2009 I was playing with a large (8" diameter) plano convex lens that I took out of an old lighting instrument a few years ago. The light is coming from an upright fluorescent light table. I only took one shot of this, because I thought it wouldn't come out very well. The only PP I did on this shot was to remove some scratches on the glass.
Matt Pilsner > March 9, 2009 My favorite cologne. I hardly ever wear cologne, but I was sad when they stopped making this one. Oddly enough, if you ever go into a Hollister store, the entire store smells like this cologne. Yet, they stopped selling it.
Matt Pilsner > February 28, 2009 Blown Lamp We blew out a lamp, and I happened to have my macro lens with me today. Unlike the photo I took on the 26th, this one is far from SOOC. For the nerds out there, this is an HPL 575w lamp from a Source 4 ERS.
Matt Pilsner > January 13, 2009 Blue Champagne I had off yesterday and decided to meet some friends at the bar last night. I'm a regular there, so they decided it was time to test out some new drinks with me. The goal was to find a drink that uses up the leftover cases of champagne that they have. This particular drink is blueberry vodka, blue curacao, and champagne. It was pretty nasty, and was promptly given the name PukeMaster 4000. Another drink they made was the Bald Headed Slut which was Jagermeister and Champagne. I'm one of the few that actually likes the taste of Jagermeister, so I considered a pretty tasty drink.
Matt Pilsner > October 9th, 2008 Nothing fancy today, just the view from the couch. My knee swelled up to twice its normal size yesterday, so I went to the doctor this morning. He shoved 2 fat needles into both side of the knee, only to find that no fluid would come out. It's apparently an infection between my patella and tendon. Fun times.
