Hangin' On...

Another fall leaf photo. Everyone's doin' it!

I've been back to work for 6 weeks now, but today was my first full day of real work. My leg is tired, and so am I. I'm still out of shape, but as they say: "no pain, no gain."

A Leaf on my Windshield
I love the fact that my macro lens goes down to f/2.8! But sometimes, I regret it. I really wish I had more DoF in this! My next lens purchase is going to be a 50mm f/1.4 but this photo is making me second guess that...
Tomorrow's photo is an easy "guess what it is." I hope it's not too easy, but It's hard for me to determine that when I know what it is.

A rainy leaf on the hood of my truck. I didn't have my macro lens on me, so this shot is a bit cropped from the original. I think it also lacks some of the clarity that my macro lens provides.

My favorite season is here again.

This was actually an interesting accident. I put blue gel over my flash, and I ended up with a really blue photo. Once I desaturated the blue channel, this is what I ended up with. I think this lacks an interesting composition, but I'll definitely be using this technique again.

Abstract Aloe
I have a long day at work today, so this a shot I took a few days ago.

Wide Angles are Fun
I rented a 10-22mm lens for an event I'm working on Mon and Tues. I took it out for some practice this morning with all the leaves. My camera strap and feet kept ending up in the viewfinder.

Lots of Leaves with a Wide Angle Lens
Last night was a pretty windy night, so this morning, all the sidewalks in my apartment complex were covered in a blanket of fall colors.

Corn from the Maize Maze.
A couple of friends and I went to Terhune's Orchard today to pick out some pumpkins for the Annual Punkin' Carvin' Party at McCarter. We went through the pretty lame Maize Maze, and I was so bored I stopped to take pictures of corn. Then I cheated and climbed over a fence to get out of the maze.
