Want to save some money? ... Quit Smoking
About a year ago, I purchased a pack of cigarettes as a prop for some photography. I was amazed at how much they cost. Anyhow, I still had a few left, so I emptied one out this morning. I'm not very impressed with the results, but as they say, you are your hardest critic.

Bored on a warm day and playing with my macro lens, again...
This is a stack of Origami Paper that I found while looking for things to take pictures of.
This one is at f/4.5, and HERE is one at f/32. I have one of almost every f/stop in between. It was sort of a fun DoF experiment.

Happy Birthday Kelsey
My roommate is a busy guy, so I picked up a cake for his girlfriend's birthday today. I got this chocolate raspberry something or other cake from Chez Alice in Princeton. It's a very nice place, and I've been told that their cakes are outstanding. I can't wait to cut into this thing. Maybe tomorrow's photo will be a shot of the insides. (or maybe just the empty plate...)

Oh, and for those wondering, the white bars in the background are from the railing on my balcony. The sun was starting to go down, so I was taking advantage of the sunlight out there. I also used the 50mm f/1.4 lens again.

This is a macro shot of a flower from my strawberry picking fun yesterday. It wasn't the greatest of conditions for macro shooting, so I was pretty impressed how well this ended up. This is straight out of the camera, handheld, with windy weather.

Here's a Few Shots of yesterday's farm animals.

A ghostly image of myself at work.
Here's another shot of my 4' wide by 25' long "office."

I haven't played with selective coloring in a while, so I wanted to see if I could do it without looking up help. I'm not a photoshop professional, but I was able to recall all the steps without help. This isn't the best photo in the world, but I thought it was a good candidate to show off his eyes.

Kiwi Strawberry
Nothing too exciting, I just happened to have both kiwis and strawberries in the fridge, so I got out the trusty macro lens, and started shooting.

Here was option 2 for the day.

Lindsay thought I was trying to take a picture of this hallway at Triumph Brewery in Princeton, so she backed up against the wall to get out of my way. In reality I was taking a picture of her. I really like the colors in the shot.

Yes, I buy props for photography...Is that a problem?
This is an Antique Reproduction "Squirrel Cage" Light Bulb.
