Last night's beer can.
The color was pretty boring in this shot, so I did another BW conversion.

Dirty Softball Macro with bad lighting...

Lindsay thought I was trying to take a picture of this hallway at Triumph Brewery in Princeton, so she backed up against the wall to get out of my way. In reality I was taking a picture of her. I really like the colors in the shot.

MMMMmmmm, Tasty...
I think Mia just ate a bug...

On a side note, I just found out that I won a DGrin challenge with my Eastern State Penitentiary Photo that I posted here on Aug 14. I came in 5th, but I still won $40 in SmugMug credit.

Back to the Daily Photos
I figured I'd take some easy macro shots to get back in the groove. Here's another shot of my jeans that I had to choose from for today's shot.
I've been working my ass off (literally) for the past month. I didn't have the motivation to take any daily photos during my month long job as Stage Supervisor for Opera NJ.

To give you an idea of what I've been doing, imagine 3 opera sets in one theatre at the same time. One of the sets is meant for a much larger stage that what we were on. And of course, it was rare that a set could stay on stage for more than 2 days at a time. There were many days when we had all 3 sets on the stage at some point. My crew of interns and I managed to get through it alive, but we still have a few more days left until we get all the sets packed up and returned. I may miss a few daily photos until I'm officially done, but I'll back, full force, in no time.

The other day,I realized that I've been doing daily photos for over a year now. I took a look at my old 2007 gallery, and was amazed at how much I've grown and learned. I thank all of you on the DP Community for your support, help, and motivation.

Chick with Gun... in "The Return of Ulysses"
I was asked (sort of last minute) to photograph an opera at Princeton Univ. last night. With my stupid hip, I wasn't able to walk around as much as I wanted, but I still got some decent shots.
Thankfully, I was only able to stay for the first hour of the 3 hour long opera. There were TWO harpsichords in the pit. I don't know about anyone else, but I can't stand the sound of a harpsichord, let alone two.
Harpsichords or not, I was still thankful to be able to photograph another show! For some reason I keep getting asked to photograph operas. I guess I can't complain, they call it "Park & Bark" for a reason, so my subjects usually stand still and sing for a while which makes it very easy for a photographer...
Here's the link to the rest.

This is Rob and Blair's pumpkin from the pumpkin carving party last night. This year, I didn't get a chance to get a photo of all the pumpkins together, but I re-lit a few of the candles to get a couple shots.
