Chocolate Malted Barley used to make Sam Adams beer.
I went to a beer tasting at Winberie's in Princeton last night. It was all Sam Adams beer.
There was a new blackberry witbeir that I didn't really care for, but it was excellently paired with the duck ravioli. Delicious.
I got a to go bag of the barley and hops that they had on the tables. Here are some more shots.

Playing with Digital Frames

I've been reading a Photoshop book and I finally put it into practice.

I'm also working on a new watermark, which you may notice because it's super obtrusive in this shot right now...

Quiet Afternoon...
I took this shot on Monday. I like the soft focus of the shot, but the composition is lacking something.
Thanks for all the Birthday wishes yesterday!

Sunbathing.
Everyday at approximately 2:00pm, Mia can be found in this position getting her daily dose of sun.

Believe it or not, I was drinking some wine tonight. This bottle was on the coffee table right next to my wine glass because I was too lazy to get up and walk to the kitchen when my glass was empty. The background is actually my TV about 8' away.
The "believe it or not" was a bit of sarcasm. For those who don't know me, I very rarely go a day without some beer or wine. My roommate works at the Corkscrew Wine Shop in Princeton, so we always have wine in the house.

My second choice photo for today was this one. We have a lot of free time at work, and my friends were playing a board game. I took some shots of the exciting action, and then played with them in Lightroom a little.

Mia... Again...
You guys are probably tired of seeing my cats, but when you have such cute subjects, it's hard to resist.
She refused to look at me this morning, so this is the only shot I got while she was looking at the camera.

Soft Ginger Molasses Cookies
These are one of my favorite cookies. I usually only make them about this time of year for some reason. Here's the RECIPE.
Tomorrow: Pumpkin Whoopie Pies!

Saffron -- The World's Most Expensive Spice

I had the macro lens out and ready, so I kept looking for small things to shoot. I was looking through the spice rack, and came across my small supply of saffron. Does anyone really have a large supply of saffron? Anyhow, I looked through my stack of colored origami paper to find something with a little contrast or something that would compliment the beautiful reds, yellows, and oranges of the saffron. For some reason, I chose the fluorescent green. I think it works...

Hidden Meanings
This shot was actually inspired by a photo I saw in a magazine. I do that often, and I'm not exactly proud that I copy ideas from other places. Sometimes I just don't have any creativity flowing through me. This photo actually looks nothing like the photo I saw in the magazine.
Here's an alternate shot of the book.
